Marcella Montgomery-Dale, Ed.S.

Graduated from Alabama State University in 2001, dual degree in Mental Health Counseling and Special Education. Published Thesis, (Attitudes of Elementary Teachers Toward Students with Autism for Full Inclusion). Masters of Science in Community and Agency Counseling from Alabama State University, Bachelors of Science in Sociology and English Communications from East Tennessee State University, Doctorate in Theology in Old Testament Studies from Hood Theology Seminary.

After retiring from the Department of Human Resources, and volunteering with Church Ministries in Africa, seeing the needs of people with disabilities not getting the services they need, made Marcella realize retirement was not for her. Previously. Marcella worked with Non-profit Agencies for over 30 years assisting clients, parents, Teachers artistic ways to work with children diagnosed with mental health and Developmental Disabilities, such as Autism and Asperger, Director of VOA, Birmingham Area, Providers and clients with disabilities, Director of Women and Men Shelters for The Salvation Army, Lead Family Support Worker for Glenwood, Inc. Developmental Disabilities. CEO/President of Dale’s Counseling for Adolescents and Adults from 2010 to 2021. Marcella desires to help people in need to the best of her abilities. Everyone deserves a better chance in life. Becoming a part of the Team at Easterseals who are caring for those in need, allows her the opportunity to continue her desire in helping others.
