Vicki has been immersed in the disability community the majority of her life in some capacity. Her neighbor growing up had a brother with complex issues. After seeing their struggles, especially in the 60’s and 70’s laid the groundwork to be a strong advocate for those overlooked and who could not speak for themselves. Vicki graduated from Samford University with a BS in Counseling and Psychology. She worked at Glenwood Mental Health for 11 years as a Day Treatment Counselor, followed by 22 years as a Transition Specialist/Job Coach at Vestavia Hills High School.Vicki is very honored to be a part of the Easterseals community in her capacity as Transition Specialist. She teaches Transition Skills in high schools throughout the Birmingham area and beyond. Vicki loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time running/hiking, practicing yoga and spending time with her kids and her constant companion, Merle the Red Heeler.
